Review of Napster Premium

They tell you that you can download as many of the 1,000,000 songs that they have available. What they don't tell you is that all of the 1,000,000 songs suck. I signed up for a one month trial. I logged in and every single one of the songs that I wanted to download were not available for free. Every single song that I wanted to download cost me an additional 99 cents. I immediately cancelled my subscription and asked for my money back.

Review Rating: 2 out of 10

The only reason that they got a two was it was easy to navigate and rather easy to cancel a subscription. Besides that the whole service sucks.

There new ad campaign should be -
If you like a lot of crappy music pay 14.95 and you can get your fill.

Woot.com is currently having a woot-off. I recommend that you stop reading my blog and go to woot.com.

A woot-off is when they release a set number of products and then when they sell out they go and release some more. The remarkable thing about this is that all of the products are sweet and sell out within minutes. Thus there are new products going for unbelievable prices almost every 15 minutes. I love woot. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Where did the GOLD go?

There has been a frenzy of blog activity today talking about Marquette. The board has decided that GOLD was a terrible nickname. Wow it only took them a week. I guess they are going to let the students pick a new nickname. That seems fair. I bet they wish they would have thought of that a week ago. But you know that nobody cares about public relations and the fact that Marquette is the butt of every joke now.

Well I had better get back to my studies.

First to File, Blessing or Nightmare?

After reading Eric's blog it got me starting to think about the first to file aspect of the new Patent Legislation. A first to file system will get rid of the current first to invent system. Currently if two inventors try to patent similar inventions they go to a interference proceeding where the courts determine who was the first inventor. But with a first to file system you could theoretically steal someone's invention and then patent it before them, and stake your claim. This is if you can get around all derivation questions. I will look into this aspect of the first to file system. I am sure that it will be based on the European system. Let me know what you think.

Yesterday my friend Matt introduced my to woot.com. Woot.com is a online store that sells just one product a day. They buy at wholesale and then sell that product at very very low prices for just 24hrs. They release the product for sale at midnight, then sell it either for 24hrs or until they sell out. Back to the Google Ads

Last month I wrote an article about google ads and how they may be too smart. The article Google thinks that I like Miniskirts is available here.
In that I wrote a best of 2004 article commenting on the beauty of the miniskirt.

Next thing you know every ad is about miniskirts. Now I am being haunted by my superbowl article about Janet Jackson. Every single ad on my site lately is asking me if I think that Janet Jackson is sexy.

Obviously they haven't read my site. I don't like her. Although maybe through the ad people will respond and she will realize that nobody likes her. For some reason I don't believe that it works that way.

I recently clicked on the ad to see where it went. They ask the question and then they offer you a chance to win a free ipod. I am unsure of the validity of the website, but it looked alright to me. After careful reading and clicking to the second page, I am not one to submit my address, and personal information. If somebody signs up and actually gets a free ipod, let me know. I could always use another one.

That was a little tanget sorry. I still don't like Janet Jackson and I really don't want ads of hers on my website. Do you think that Google associates me with Janet Jackson fans. I hope not. I am going to look into this. Keep your eyes on the site. What would I do, if google thinks I like Janet Jackson. Of course writing her name over and over in my blog isn't helping. She will now be called JJ. Or oops my boob fell out. We will see which one sticks.

The new T-shirt King

My last entry about t-shirts has really gotten me to think. I am announcing today that I am going into the t-shirt business. I have a ton of ideas, and I think that I could really express myself through the use of cotton and ink. Keep your eye out. I am in the process of solidifying my company. Once everything is ready I will post the website.

You will not be disappointed by my humor. Some of the shirts may be a little brash, but then everything is offensive to someone. The shirts will be 100% preshrunk cotton, screen printed with some of the best slogans, images, and offensive material that I can think of.

Besides the t-shirt business I am thinking about getting into the hat, coffee mug, mouse pad, and sweatshirt business. Let me know what you think. It should be a lot of fun. I am taking ideas. If I use it, then I will send you a free shirt. Later,

T-shirts the new way to say F' off.

I love t-shirts. They are a great way to say something that you normally wouldn't say. T-shirts are getting a little out of control, but they are still funny. I mean jesus on the cross with a thumbs up saying "I did it for the chicks." Funny, controversial, sweet. I am totally going to start making my own t-shirts. T-shirts are a way to make a statement without all of the downfall of actually saying it to a person. Below I have listed a few sites that make great shirts.
