Sorry for being inactive.
Sorry for not keeping up on the posts. I have been recovering from shoulder surgery. I just got my arm out of the sling and have been able to type for short amounts of time. I must say that my arm is already feeling better than it did before the surgery.
I must admit that pain killers are good, recovery from anesthesia is bad, and that arthroscopic surgery kicks ass. I have hardly any scars and the recovery has not been bad at all. I actually stopped using the pain medication three days after the surgery. I should be back up and running in a week or so. Well at least I won't be able to work new years, but I will be able to go out and have a good time.

WiFi Co-op, let the world unite
I suggest that we start a WiFi co-op. People with WiFi hotspots that exchange Mac Addresses allowing others to use their internet access in one location in exchange for internet access at their location. Imagine a world in which you have access to the internet at you house, which gives you access to the internet virtually everywhere. By making it an exchange there is no free riding problem. You must open your access point in order to enter the co-op.
There are various technology hurdles one must overcome. A list of available Mac addresses must be created. Another point is that a program must be created in order to automatically update the routers with the new mac addresses. Another possibility would be to create a map and search directory of all of the participating access points in the co-op. Then when you need or know that you will need internet you log-in and search the available addresses of the access points. Then you would contact the administrator of those access points and give them your MAC number. That way when you need the internet you will have access to it. Everything will be user monitored so people who don't obey the community rules will be banned.
All that is needed is a database structure that will map out the available access points and administrator contact info. This also requires someone with enough free time and resources to do this.

Google - Quick to React
Less than three hours after I rant about google adsense thinking that I like mini skirts they reacted and re-parsed my website. I have had miniskirt ads on my site for a month. Now I have blog ads. Google is one hell of a company. I must admit that adsense is a great program. I do no promotion for my site. You are probably the only person reading it. Feel free to click on a ad if it interests you. Every little bit helps. Back to where I was, with little promotion I have generated almost $1. Now only 49 more so that they will cut me a check. At this rate it will be around 5 years before I get that check. If you are a fan of this site and have a blog of your own let me know. I am a fan of swapping links. Drop me note or reply to this little rant. Oh, by the way I would like to thank google for swapping my ads.

Google thinks that I like Mini Skirts
My google adsense ads think that I like mini skirts just because I wrote an article about them a month ago. I don't know about you, but they should do some more scraping as the mini skirt ads are starting to make me look like a pervert. I mean does this site scream plaid mini skirt or what. Now that I am writing about mini skirts again the ads are never going to leave. I know that google's technology is state of the art and all, but come on, the article was written a month ago. Can I get some ads about video games, patents, IP law, girls gone wild, something other than mini skirts. Later,

Tivo - Being Lazy, Just got Easier
I must admit that TiVo makes being lazy, well easy. Thanks to Tivo I can skip commercials and watch more shows. The problem is that I have to be a little less lazy to make this work. I have to watch TV and when a commercial pops up, lean up press the remote and then watch for the end of the commercials and hit play again. This is a lot of work, since I am used to just sitting there and waiting. Lately this is the most exercise that I am getting besides the normal 12oz curls. Tivo makes me more productive. I now watch 25 hours of TV in just under 15 hours. Now that is quite productive. I mean I could spend 15 hours studying, cleaning, maybe doing laundry, but watching 25 hours of TV that kicks ass. Plus I can pause tivo to go to the bathroom and get my pizza from the delivery guy. How cool is that. I must admit, I love TiVo.
